January 26, 2010- Oh its a holiday and you have been waiting for this day to wash your bed comforters for so long. Now before beginning the task you actually need to prepare so that you do not harm your bed comforter and you can actually get the neat and clean bed comforter to reuse.

• Before washing read the instructions that are written on a tag of the bed comforter. It will clearly show whether the comforter is hand washed or needs to be dry cleaned. If you damage the comforter because of wrong washing the warranty will be automatically gets void.
• If your bed comforter is made from goose down then it must be washed at laundry mart as it needs large sized washing machine otherwise you can wash it at home.
• For handwshing, you can use bathtub or large laundry room sink.
• Use only specified detergent for washing otherwise damage to the feathers will be caused. Also for any other type of bed comforter it is better to get very gentle detergent. Never buy detergent that contains bleach as it may harm the fabric.
• You can also wash the bed comforters everyday but choose the large machine to do this. For daily washing, use color fade resistant detergent. Go for the air dry but if it is not possible then go for the machine dry.
• After washing, place the wet bed comforter in dryer. You can put two tennis balls along with this. The tennis balls will give fluffiness to the bed comforter.
• You can also hang the bed comforter on a wire for natural or air dry.
• After drying your bed comforter, it is now time to iron it. Go with the instructions. But for most of the bed comforters keep the heat settings minimum.
• You now have the neat and wrinkle-free bed comforter.
